1. Purpose & Core Values

At Tentunit, our community thrives on trust, professionalism, and fairness. These standards promote a safe, inclusive, reliable, and respectful environment for hosts and tenants alike. Our guiding pillars: Safety, Security, Privacy, Fairness, Authenticity, and Reliability.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all users of the Tentunit platform (including landlords, tenants, and property seekers) and to all content users publish—such as listings, messages, reviews, photos, and comments.

3. Expected Conduct

  • Respectful Communication: Be courteous and constructive. Harassment, threats, hate speech, defamation, or insulting remarks are strictly prohibited.
  • No Discrimination: All users must be treated fairly, irrespective of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, nationality, or other protected traits.
  • No Spam or Unauthorized Solicitation: Promotional or irrelevant content, repeated messaging, unsolicited referrals, or links to external sites are disallowed.
  • Transparency & Honesty: No impersonation, fake profiles, or misleading self-representation.
  • Privacy Respect: Don’t disclose others’ personal or private information (e.g., contact details, precise property location) without consent.

4. Content Standards

  • Permitted Content: Relevant, lawful user-generated content related to housing, rentals, community advice, or genuine experiences.
  • Prohibited Content: Illegal, harmful, discriminatory, explicit, violent, harassing, or infringing content. Users must own or have rights to content they post. Tentunit may remove content that violates copyright or privacy.

5. Safety & Security

  • No threats or encouragement of violence.
  • Illegal substances, weapons, or illicit behavior are disallowed.
  • Do not misrepresent credentials, ownership, or identity.

6. Authenticity & Accuracy

  • Listings must clearly reflect actual property details—location, availability, description, and amenities.
  • Misleading pricing, false reviews, or fraudulent listings are prohibited.

7. Reliability & Responsiveness

  • Be Responsive: Hosts should reply to inquiries promptly, ideally within one business day.
  • Honor Bookings: Avoid canceling confirmed bookings except for valid, documented reasons.

8. Community & Neighborhood Respect

  • Avoid disturbances such as loud noise or unmanaged gatherings.
  • Comply with house rules, occupancy limits, quiet hours, and neighborhood norms.

9. Enforcement & Reporting

  • Reporting Mechanisms: Users can flag violations through platform reporting tools or by contacting support.
  • Consequences: Violations may result in warnings, content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination—especially in repeated or severe cases.

10. Dispute Resolution

  • Tentunit may facilitate communication between parties, but is not a legal arbiter.
  • Reviews or feedback must be based on factual experiences and remain courteous.

11. Agreement to Policy

Use of Tentunit indicates agreement with these standards. Continued activity signals acceptance and consent to enforcement as needed.

12. Policy Updates & Inquiries
